Athlete Portrait: St. Louis Cardinals' Outfielder Marcell Ozuna
When I started this portrait Marcell Ozuna was having a strong season. He was hitting more homers, he was crushing in the RBI department for us, my friend was finally respecting Ozuna’s sleeve selection (RIP neon green sleeve, oh how I miss you…). He was the highlight of the Cardinals team, to put it simply, and well on his way to represent St. Louis at the All Star Game. And then the portrait jinx hit him. Heyward left us for Chicago, Pham was traded to Tampa, DeJong cooled down, and now Ozuna is on the Injured List having broken a finger. [Shakes fist at sky.] Think it’s back to pet portraits for me…
