Paws For A Cause: St. Louis County Police K9 Fusion
It has finally happened! I have finally drawn a local police K9! Yay!!! Just incase you can't tell, I'm a little excited about it...
More About Fusion From His Partner, Officer Michael Hundelt: "Fusion is a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix. His birthday is August 18, 2014 (so he is still a puppy). He is considered what we call a dual purpose canine where he is trained in narcotic detection and patrol work (which is essentially tracking, article searches, canine apprehension). He is also from the Netherlands and his commands are given in Dutch (interesting fact that I did not know they did, but he has a European passport). I traveled to Pennsylvania to train with him for 6 weeks at Shallow Creek Kennels. Canine Fusion is extremely social when off as I have two small boys at home whom he loves to play with."

Time Spent: 53 hours and 23 minutes. That can't be right, can it!? Did I fall asleep at my drawing table one day and not realize it!?
Print Sales: Sometime in the next week I will be selling prints of this drawing. 50% of the money raised from these sales will be donated to P.A.W. Stoppers, specifically towards a memorial for K9 officers (which currently has a gofundme page, just FYI). Keep an eye on my facebook page if you'd like to buy one!
Up Next: I have at least one gift lined up, which means I won't be able to share it with you for a few weeks.
Until next time! Lauren H.
