Animal Portrait: Bald Eagle
No, you don't have to get your eyes fixed; that is not a drawing of an extremely ugly dog. Sometimes I move away from my comfort zone of the canine family, this time looking to the sky to a bald eagle. OK, so it was actually sitting on a woman's arm and not flying around, but you know what I mean. First the Clydesdales, now a bald eagle. Still need some frogs, lizards, and a dalmatian and then I will have the whole Anheuser-Busch animal collection!
St. Louis Cardinals Winter Warm-Up: This past January my parents and I went to see some Cardinals players at their annual money raising Winter Warm-Up. It's not all just looking at athletes as they sit out of arms reach signing memorabilia, there are also plenty of panels and talks on plenty of other topics that fill up the world of baseball. Surprising no one, the first panel I went to was about two dogs that can be seen searching the area in and around the stadium for suspicious fans who have the smell of bomb about them. And the second was a panel about one of the bald eagles that often flies around the stadium before games.
Unfortunately I was late to the talk thanks to standing in line for Sam Freeman's autograph, but I did get there in time to snap some photos of this beautiful bird. Oh, and get this photo taken that all Cardinals' fans will be jealous of.
