Paws For A Cause: Ricochet
Meet Ricochet, a Terrier Mix currently available for adoption at Stray Rescue. I can only imagine the high energy levels that would have brought about a name like that (side note - I had a beta fish in college with the name Spaz for a reason), but just look at that face! Clearly he is happy to do what it takes to wear himself out. Now he just needs some help from someone out there looking to adopt.
A key feature of Ricochet is his beautiful eyes. I had to make sure to include a photo of those since the drawing doesn't show them off. How can you resist!?

Urban Wanderers: I was lucky enough to be asked back to participate in Urban Wanderers, an art show put on by Stray Rescue where animal lovers of the St. Louis community (and beyond) can bid on original artworks inspired by the dogs who are currently available for adoption or have come into contact with the organization in some way. The opening reception is the night of July 10th (5PM - 8PM), and the show will run through the beginning of August. There will also be a Meet the Artists night on July 23rd (5:30PM - 8PM). Hope to see you there!

Up Next: I will have a table at the upcoming 3rd Annual Airedale Carnival, so if you're around the Westinn Kennels in Wentzville, MO come say hi! I also have one more commissioned pet portrait that I will be starting soon. Last, but not least, I will be showing my art at the AKC Museum of the Dog again this July. I will have the exact weekend for that later, but I'm pretty sure it's the 18th and 19th.
Until next time! Lauren H.
