Paws for a Cause: Sedona
If you'll remember last year I did a drawing of a white Pit Bull named Heparin (a rescue currently still available at Stray Rescue of St. Louis, just FYI). That drawing was for an art auction for an organization called No Kill Columbia, and for this year's donation I decided to do something I haven't done in a while: draw a cat.
More on Sedona From Her Family:She had been found as a single kitten and was on the put to sleep list at Central Missouri Humane Society for a minor eye infection at five weeks. Second Chance rescued her and I fostered. She's such a tenderhearted cat who is very sensitive but also equally as loving. She is a clown, who constantly keeps us laughing but also sleeps next to me all night and has a very loud purr. I just couldn't adopt her out to anyone so we adopted her a year ago.
Paper Used: Strathmore Black Artist Paper cut to 11×14″.

Time Spent: 12 hours 23 minutes (I'm pretty sure I forgot to record the hours from one day because there's no way I only spent that much time on this drawing). I'm guessing it was somewhere between 15 and 16 hours at least.
Up Next: No clue. Building the portfolio up with more breeds I haven't drawn yet, a new Couple's Counseling, practicing a new style so I can draw a couple of nerdy mash-ups I have running around my mind... I'll let you know when I get there.
Until next time! Lauren H.
